A great tier in Scott's career was receiving Signature Member Status with the AAPL which is the highest level in the organization. Artist members at this level are welcomed to append the letters AAPL after their name on all works.

By far, Scott’s greatest achievement ever…as of December 2015, he received his OPAM Master Signature status from the Oil Painters of America. Not only does this allow the artist to put the initials ‘OPAM’ after their name on all paintings but allows them to bypass jurying on all future OPA shows and many other wonderful perks. This year, 15 tried out and Scott was one of 3 that were chosen. Out of over 4000 members, he will be one of 55 Master Signature members to represent the Oil Painters of America. No doubt, one of Scott’s most decorated opportunities of his career, he was also accepted and invited by the Allied Artists of America to be an Elected Member, which is the highest level of membership. A great honor, this allows the artist to bypass the jury process every other year for their Annual Shows, hold office in the organization, and display works on their website.
